UN/DOT Hazard Classification Testing

UN/DOT Hazard Classification testing is required to classify a product or substance for transportation. UTEC performs UN/DOT testing in accordance with the UN Manual for Transport of Dangerous Goods under the direction of DOT Certifying Examiners to determine if a product or substance is classified as a Class 1 explosive.

Small Scale Sensitivity Testing

UTEC utilizes the BOE Impact Tester, BAM Friction Tester, ABL Friction Tester and the Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Test Apparatus to evaluate the sensitivity of a substance or a mixture to the properties of a standard energetic substance. The resulting data from these tests can be used for safety characterization, process or operations, and risk assessments.
