Ice Forms Around Compound During Temperature Sensitivity Test |
Temperature sensitivity testing and defining the temperature parameters specific to each and every commercial explosive product is a well defined and highly important specification.
UTEC has the facilities to evaluate all explosive products and potential formulations with regard to their specific temperature performance profile.
With multiple “cold” and “hot” explosive conditioning magazines on-site at the Hallowell, Kansas testing facility; a fully defined temperature versus performance structure can be measured.
This is a high value data point with regard to explosive products that are designed and expected to perform in a wide-range of temperature conditions. Some extremely robust explosive products are designed to perform in sub-arctic to sub-tropical conditions. Without the means to determine a specific temperature, performance profile, product applications recommendations could not be made with confidence.
